I've been working on a series of illustrations based on the idea of hermetic mysticism set off by Umberto Eco's fantastic book Foucault's Pedulum. It follows a group of editors at a publishing house as they try and invent the perfect conspiracy theory by linking together historical events and esoteric orders throughout the ages. I've tried to create the religious and spiritual iconograpy of one of these orders with reference to classic science fiction and new age art by guys like Syd Mead and Gilbert Williams.
